Juz 'Amma — Surah Pendek

عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

Tentang apakah mereka saling bertanya-tanya?

About what are they asking one another?

وَٱلنَّـٰزِعَـٰتِ غَرْقًا

Demi (malaikat) yang mencabut (nyawa) dengan keras.

By those [angels] who extract with violence

عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ

Dia (Muhammad) berwajah masam dan berpaling,

He [i.e., the Prophet (ﷺ) ] frowned and turned away

إِذَا ٱلشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ

Apabila matahari digulung,

When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]

إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ

Apabila langit terbelah,

When the sky breaks apart

وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ

Celakalah bagi orang-orang yang curang (dalam menakar dan menimbang)!

Woe to those who give less [than due],

إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ

Apabila langit terbelah,

When the sky has split [open]

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْبُرُوجِ

Demi langit yang mempunyai gugusan bintang,

By the sky containing great stars

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ

Demi langit dan yang datang pada malam hari.

By the sky and the night comer

سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى

Sucikanlah nama Tuhanmu Yang Mahatinggi,

Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْغَـٰشِيَةِ

Sudahkah sampai kepadamu berita tentang (hari Kiamat)?

Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]?

وَٱلْفَجْرِ

Demi fajar,

By the dawn

لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِهَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ

Aku bersumpah dengan negeri ini (Mekkah),

I swear by this city [i.e., Makkah]

وَٱلشَّمْسِ وَضُحَىٰهَا

Demi matahari dan sinarnya pada pagi hari,

By the sun and its brightness

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ

Demi malam apabila menutupi (cahaya siang),

By the night when it covers

وَٱلضُّحَىٰ

Demi waktu duha (ketika matahari naik sepenggalan),

By the morning brightness

أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ

Bukankah kami telah melapangkan dadamu (Muhammad)?

Did We not expand for you, [O Muḥammad], your breast?

وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ

Demi (buah) Tin dan (buah) Zaitun,

By the fig and the olive

ٱقْرَأْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ

Bacalah dengan (menyebut) nama Tuhanmu yang menciptakan,

Recite in the name of your Lord who created

إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ

Sesungguhnya Kami telah menurunkannya (Alquran) pada malam qadar.

Indeed, We sent it [i.e., the Qur’ān] down during the Night of Decree.

لَمْ يَكُنِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَةُ

Orang-orang yang kafir dari golongan Ahli Kitab dan orang-orang musyrik tidak akan meninggalkan (agama mereka) sampai datang kepada mereka bukti yang nyata,

Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted [from misbelief] until there came to them clear evidence

إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا

Apabila bumi diguncangkan dengan guncangan yang dahsyat,

When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake

وَٱلْعَـٰدِيَـٰتِ ضَبْحًا

Demi kuda perang yang berlari kencang terengah-engah,

By the racers, panting,

ٱلْقَارِعَةُ

Hari Kiamat,

The Striking Calamity -

أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ

Bermegah-megahan telah melalaikan kamu,

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you

وَٱلْعَصْرِ

Demi masa.

By time,

وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ

Celakalah bagi setiap pengumpat dan pencela,

Woe to every scorner and mocker

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ

Tidakkah engkau (Muhammad) perhatikan bagaimana Tuhanmu telah bertindak terhadap pasukan bergajah?

Have you not considered, [O Muḥammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?

لِإِيلَـٰفِ قُرَيْشٍ

Karena kebiasaan orang-orang Quraisy,

For the accustomed security of the Quraysh -

أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ

Tahukah kamu (orang) yang mendustakan agama?

Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?

إِنَّآ أَعْطَيْنَـٰكَ ٱلْكَوْثَرَ

Sungguh, Kami telah memberimu (Muhammad) nikmat yang banyak.

Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muḥammad], al-Kawthar.

قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ

Katakanlah (Muhammad), "Wahai orang-orang kafir!

Say, "O disbelievers,

إِذَا جَآءَ نَصْرُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْفَتْحُ

Apabila telah datang pertolongan Allah dan kemenangan,

When the victory of Allāh has come and the conquest,

تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ

Binasalah kedua tangan Abu Lahab dan benar-benar binasa dia!

May the hands of Abū Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.

قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

Katakanlah (Muhammad), "Dialah Allah, Yang Maha Esa.

Say, "He is Allāh, [who is] One,

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ

Katakanlah, "Aku berlindung kepada Tuhan yang menguasai subuh (fajar),

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ

Katakanlah, "Aku berlindung kepada Tuhannya manusia,

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,
