وَٱتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً لِّيَكُونُوا لَهُمْ عِزًّا

Wattakhathoo min dooni Allahialihatan liyakoonoo lahum AAizza

And they have taken besides Allāh [false] deities that they would be for them [a source of] honor.
